Welcome to my online gallery. I'm Sandra Slade of Purvis, Mississippi. All the
paintings displayed here are original, signed works. They are one of a kind. Oil on
canvas is my medium and I paint is the style known as Realism art. In this style the
subject is portrayed in a realistic way. I paint from photos and memory. Although I
occasionally use acrylics, oil is my first love.
The paintings are grouped into collections for landscapes, seascapes,
lighthouses, still life, portraits, wildlife, snow scenes and a miscellaneous
collections of work that I couldn't decide where to put. All the collections are
listed with brief description on the Gallery page. I have recently added some more
rustic pieces done in oil on glass and oil painted saw blades and shovels. I'm
working on more with handsaws and crosscut saw in progress. These can be
found in Country Cousins, Rustic Glass Art and Glass Art pages. Landscapes has
lovely old barns, smokehouses and a western scene. Floral gallery features our
beautiful magnolias and dogwood blooms. The cooks will enjoy still life in food
with Bread and Cheese and Cook's Staples. New paintings are added as
completed.
